Mens Ones
Mens Ones played at home against Lewes at 13:30pm. It was a strong team performance with a relatively comfortable win. Every player gave it their all, their hard work reflecting in the score. The game ended in a 3-0 win to the Crows with goals from Ollie Turner-Moore, Oscar Wakelin and Dan Credland. Player of the match went to Will Sermon for a simple but faultless performance.
Mens Twos
Mens Twos played away against Mid Sussex at midday. The team played astonishingly well, especially when the side went down to 9 players (plus two who could not move). The men showed great power and determination throughout the game. Hamish Marr scored 2 incredible goals, one from a well-taken penalty flick. The game ended 2-2 with Nick Cook being awarded player of the match for being generally amazing.
Mens Threes
Mens Threes played away against Worthing at 14:30pm. It was a real team performance against an experienced opposition and the team held strong throughout. To add to a good set of results for the men's side, the game ended in a 2-0 win. James Lee scored both goals with the whole team receiving player of the match.
Ladies Ones
Ladies Ones played at home against Middleton at 13:00pm. Within the first 10 minutes, 2 strong goals were scored for the home side. However, the opposition came back strong, causing the game to be very fast paced and physical. This did not stop the Ones, the team going on to score another 5 goals within the remaining time. The team had immense fun despite receiving a few cuts and bruises along the way. The game resulted in a 7-1 win to the Crows, with goals going to Sam Williams (4), Kate Rahn (1) and Naomi Tear (2).
Ladies Twos
Ladies Twos played at home against Lewes at 10:30am. The teams were equal for most of the game, the game going into half time with a 0-0 draw. However, a funny 5 minutes meant that Lewes got 2 well drilled goals. Despite this, Twos did not let it get to them, battling hard to keep the opposition away from their goal and putting through amazing balls to the forward line. Unfortunately, the game ended in a 2-0 loss despite the awesome passing and great runs from the forwards. They all played as a team and it was just an unfortunate game in spite of the teamwork, communication and sheer determination from all the players. Player of the match went to new club player Clare Bennett for her spectacular diving save!
Ladies Threes
Ladies Threes played away against South Downs at 10:30am. The side battled hard against a very strong opposition who played 4 of their 1st team players from the league above. With some of the development players playing their first adult game and players having to play out of position, they held their own. The side improved in the second half, letting in 2 unlucky goals. The game ended in a 6-0 loss with player of the match going to the spectacular Lara Swan.
Boys Development
Boys Development played away against Lewes at 10:30am. The boys played well against an experienced side and did amazingly to get some shots on goal, let alone two incredible goals. Unfortunately, the game ended in a 7-2 loss with goals going to Nate Potter and Torin Bosse.
