Ladies Threes:
L3s played away at South Downs with a 10:am pushback. In summary – a frustrating match in which luck was not on Crowborough’s side. Sickness spread through the squad but Borough fought hard regardless. Hannah Walker and Eve Taylor continue to thrive in the adult games. The final score was 0:2 defeat. Player of the match went to Sarah Mercer who was a defending dynamo. Special thanks to Amanda Catling for running subs and offering pitch side coaching.
Men’s One’s:
Men’s 1s continue their run of form with a 4-2 win, at home, to St. Francis. A brace from Dan Lang, one from Jake Simmons and an own goal forced by Freddie Lee was enough to secure 3 points. Player to the match went to Chris Cowen.
Men's Threes:
M3s played at home to Lewes (who are currently top of the league) with a midday pushback. Today was frustrating, with the opposition being extremely physical and clinically better at finishing. However, Tony Frank, Nick Cook and Graham Clampin did great work in defence throughout the match. The final score was a 0:6 defeat but this in no way reflects how hard Crowborough fought. Player of the Match was Nick Sparks for immense keeping skills.
